Blooms...

A little glimpse of peppermint geranium leaves and roses from the talented lens {and hands} of Leslie Shewring, from A Creative Mint.  Inhale.  Can't you just smell summer?!?

Glossy muse...

Today my mailbox was embellished with the new Ballard Designs catalog.  Here are a few things worth sharing.
The Sofia Settee.
The Louisa Bergere Chair & Ottoman.
The Firenze Embroidered Panel {in Gray}.
The adorable bee plaque {in Bronze} from the Set of Three Entomology Plaques.
The wallpaper collection at Ballard Designs will make your heart race.  Here is a little peek at the beauty.

The shining glory of Ballard Designs, sweet and delicious Trellis Wallpaper {in Pearl and Green}.
I am seriously coveting this Trellis paper.

This lovely vignette {from Marie Claire Italy} is a gorgeous balance of vintage inspiration.

Summer sprinkles...

Hoping we all enjoy a satisfying sprinkle of summer this weekend...

Walnuts and mustaches...

I have an inkling for walnuts, not the tender and crumbling fresh walnuts from the farmers' market, but the whimsical paper that you paste to your walls.  Walnut Wallpaper {based in Los Angeles} carries this dramatic paper boasting metallic facial hair, Mustachio {in graphite, designed by Natalie Wright}.  Now this is a mustache I could kiss.

Lovely loo...

I suddenly feel the urge to spend all day in the loo.  Imagine a decadent bathroom so delicious you could be enticed to linger all day.  Imagine no more - just enjoy.
{This indulgent glamour is from A Room For Everyone.}

Hopelessly devoted...

Two charming items are begging for my love.  Devotion carries the Marble Elephant and Brass Bookends.  I would love for a herd of these alabaster elephants to march along my dresser.

Relief and sheen...

Sometimes you find a blog that makes you sigh, or your knees weak, or maybe even your heart flutter.  Today I found An Indian Summer and simultaneously did all of the above.  Prepare yourself for ample inspiration.  All the amazing facets of Indian decor are sprinkled throughout Bhavna's gorgeous blog; there are succulent walls of saffron and magenta, intricate details, and glamorous metals.  Here are two spaces with gorgeous metallic sheens worth sharing {from the lovely archives}.
If only this headboard was adjacent to my dreams.
Notice the insets on the back wall, framed with lovely silhouettes and lined with silver glamour.
{Thank you housemartin for introducing me to the splendor of An Indian Summer.}

Just a peak...

I was clicking around {and drooling over} Belgian Pearls and found a glimpse of a room that inspires me, an afternoon in this room couldn't be anything but perfect.

Red vegetables...

I am slowly working my way through the new Lonny issue, sifting through the enormous pile of inspiration and resources.  Ruby Beets is my new retail lust; both old and new Ruby Beets pieces are seducing me.
The Tufted Leather Settee {as seen in Lonny}.
The Pennsylvania Store Cabinet is an antique wonder.

Five days worth of beauty...

The next few days will be brimming with airports, tape measures, and longhorns {I am off to Texas for field measurements}. This gorgeous image will have to be five days worth of beautiful.  See everyone Tuesday!
Even though this space looks like somewhere I would like to spend winter {with a cup of steaming, creamy hot chocolate, some literature, and a delicate throw}, somehow the gentle sunlight gliding through this casual living room feels like summer, too.

Sigh, sigh, sigh...

One of the {many} things I long to do is travel, explore the corners of the world, and meander aimlessly with only a street map, a camera, and a husband {my husband, to be exact}.  I sighed blissfully {and repeatedly} when I saw this picture by Vicki Archer of French Essence.  Sigh.  The lucky Ms. Archer snapped this image as she walked "the narrow cobblestone streets" of Arles.  Sigh.
{Thank you Providence Ltd. Design for introducing me to this image and gracefully pointing me toward French Essence.}

Silver and gold...

This Silver Leaf Bombe Chest from Lucy Willow sent me on a search for metallic sheen.

The French Chateau Collection at Graham & Green is just what I had in mind; luxurious, gold, slightly pretentious, and perfect for pairing with a little rust and industrial charm to tone down the gleam {slightly}.

What a lovely day...

Anna {of La Boheme} introduced me to the splendor of Laura Day and her webazine that reigns supreme.  The entire Bridgehampton Farmhouse is full of character and life.  Something about the green, manicured lawn and the green, manicured door exude summer.

Inside this lovely shell is an equally lovely space.  My current obsession is dining rooms embellished with stunning chandeliers and Ms. Day has made me swoon.  My mouth is watering with adoration {and a little jealousy} over this dining room.
Don't even get me started on the absolute glamour of this bedroom from her Park Avenue Flat.

Blooms...

My {charming} husband bought me four of my favorite things, peonies.  These blooms are a lovely dichotomy; a sweet and pristine shell containing chaotic botany.  Sigh.

Straight from my dreams...

This fireplace has walked out my dreams and landed perfectly in disegno Karina Gentinetta on Magazine Street in New Orleans.
{This image was discovered on Chic Provence along with gorgeous shots of the rest of the shop.}

Incandescent glamour...

These graceful {little} Chantal Crystal Drop Chandeliers from Graham and Green have filled my palette with inspiration; a long table sprinkled with these incandescent lovelies or a vignette with a handful of elegance would be perfection.

Grass, clouds, and sunshine...

Lately I have been overindulging in grasscloth.  The texture is beckoning me with calm and serene natural materials, and now a hint of sparkle has enticed me even further.  Phillip Jeffries' Glam Grass collection is nature and glamour woven into polish for your walls; the perfect synergy between casual grass cloth and metallic glitz.
Here are a couple of my favorite grasscloths.  On the left, Maldive Blue Glam Grass is relaxed during the day and laced with metallic sheen for evening incandescence.  Lovely.  On the right, Mango Manila Hemp for a more casual wall texture.
{Clearly I was still dreaming of Portland skies and lingering on Twig's image when I pulled my picks.}

Sunshine for your shoulders...

The dreary skies of Portland have me longing for a little glimpse of sunshine.  Twig Hutchinson provides a satisfying shot of glorious London sunshine.

Kreme de la kreme...

Cadee Wilder started Kreme Life, a glorious source for wallpaper.  As if the graphic delight wasn't enough, factor in some earth consciousness {low VOC content and eco-solvent use} and the result is pure perfection.
Watercolor Acorn Gate {in ivory}, with a soft geometry and an alluring ombre effect.
Striking in black and white and subtle in ivory, Painted Gate is deliriously gorgeous.
{Thank you Arianna Belle for the introduction.  Don't miss the pillows either - baubles and woodland creatures, oh my!}
