I have a crush on Saipua; the adorable shop makes soap {by hand} and poses flowers.  I am {secretly} pining for a modest little shop where I can make soap and house flowers.  Enjoy these blooms by Saipua.

Second Coat Design performs extraordinary furniture restoration, but what really caught my eye is the Swanky Swell fabric they spotted on Etsy.  Non-toxic water based ink is applied by skilled hands to cotton fabrics for a residential grade textile wonder {organic base fabrics are also available}.  One of the prettiest products of San Francisco, this fabric sings to me!

Glorious Grosgrain...

There is something about a slightly gloomy, somewhat dreary, partly sunny, very drizzly Portland Monday; grounds for all things creative.  A haphazard mound of clay, ribbon, hemp, scissors, sandpaper, buttons, pears, and bits of everything strewn about is evidence of my afternoon.  Making things makes me smile.

In pursuit of a project {my latest obsession, fabric flowers and rosettes}, I came across Grosgrain.  My dear, sweet Grosgrain has generously shared a tutorial for making perfect fabric poppies.  I will be enveloped in these poppies one day.

To further contribute to the demise of my days {into fabric flower infatuation}, this necklace is featured on Grosgrain; additional evidence that I could exist solely on the wonder of Etsy.  The aptly named Partly Sunny Necklace by Allora Handmade is to die for, just what my life needs to equalize the afternoon drizzle.

OKA, I covet thee...

OKA has an inspiration gallery to die for; handfuls upon handfuls of interiors and vignettes to adore.  This dining room {from the Converted Barn gallery} makes my heart flutter.

The Arthur Table in Burnt Oak is a beautiful place to gather.

 

Two chairs I am currently coveting: the Lulworth Chair in Natural Linen and the Chantal Chair in Ice Blue Cotton.

This living room {from the Weekend Cottage gallery} has something I absolutely have to have, the fireplace.  Oh, how rusticated wood trim and casual mortar make me melt!

I suspect OKA and I will get along beautifully.

Scandinavian gypsy...

Day Birger et Mikkelsen just launched Scandinavian Gypsy {Spring Summer 2010 Collection}.  The products are lovely, but the campaign itself is inspiring and intriguing.  The styling by Christine Rudolph is genious.  Ditte Isager's photography is breathtaking.  Enjoy!

My charming antique mail slot is often flooded with catalogs too large for its dainty size; today was no exception.  Among the crinkled gloss was this collection of tables from Home Decorators.  The versatile Holbrook Collection {end table, cocktail table, and console table} carries a unique contrast between reclaimed wood and rustic iron.

The silver lining...

Living etc casually introduced me to Rapture & Wright; this began my love affair with Rapture & Wright's Clouds fabric, hand printed to order with care.  There are so many places this glorious linen would be perfect.

Part farmhouse, part loft, entirely remarkable...

Jill Sharp Brinson has created a home that is both lavish and bucolic.  As the creative director of Ballard Designs, she travels around the globe, bringing her favorite influences back to her living room.  The palette is oyster shell, steel gray, and truffle - no color {at least not in the traditional sense}.  Her interview with House Beautiful brings an understanding of the oddly adorable designer, read it!

I could melt away in this house for life and never long for change.  Rustic beams, Moroccan undertones, and little hints of everything I love.

Designers' Block led me to a house in Paris that has me weak in the knees.  This is the home of Russian designer Liana Yaroslavsky, and it is lovely, intricate, and feminine {a visual feast}.
