Some beauty is unexpected. Beautiful onions are unexpected. This chromolithograph plate print {by Ernst Benary} is available at the Royal Horticultural Society. It's variegated, saturated, and savory.

Vintage aeronautics...
This print of vintage aeronautics is laced with the intricacy of scientific drawings and the whimsy of imagination. I would like to dangle this glimpse of hatch marks and hot air on my wall.

Ephemera...
This illustration {Raiders of Their Host's Riches} by Jason Holley danced from the artist's mind while looking at Victorian ephemera. Sigh.
{Thank you Automatism for the introduction to Jason Holley.}

Pitter patter, pitter patter...
If you know me {or have been to my humble home}, you know I adore Kaypee Soh of Somace. His artwork is divine. His partner {Ed Macey} is lovely. His designer {Isla Schmidt} is charming. Even his dogs are adorable. The entire team at Somace is basically perfection.
Isla was kind enough to 'Handpick' this gorgeous artwork {Diamond Head} by Kaypee Soh. This piece makes my heart go pitter patter, pitter patter.
Enjoy this glimpse of my recent words at EcoSalon {take a look, maybe even leave a comment or rate my words}.
Handpicked: Somace {Somace + Isla Schmidt = Nostalgia}
The Essential Manifesto {Lula Aldunate + Vintage = Gorgeous}
Twenty/Twenty Vision {Eye Exam Charts + Typography = Pure Allure}
Stolen Salt-Soaked Pine {Robin Luciano Beaty + A Barn = Stunning}

Wall cigars...
I was lounging around at decor8 reveling in beauty {as I often do}, when I was smitten with a vintage cigar label print. The lovely home of Allison Jones boasts a two dimensional curiosity that I am completely enamored with. Confession - after a few clicks and googles and lustful sighs, I totally bought it. Just like that. Oh, and did I mention the total cost of one beckoning print {including shipping} is nine dollars and twenty two cents?!?

Insatiable greed...
If I could have this art, I would.
If I could have this couch, I would.If I could have this table, I would.
If I could have walls this color, I would {but for now I will have to settle for a nightstand this color...more on that later}.

Four hundred seventeen bulbs...
These lovely strings of light are seriously pulling at my heart strings. This delicate form of brilliance, Moondust, was created by Spencer Finch {for the Venice Biennale}. The installation involved 150 light fixtures and 417 incandescent bulbs. Maybe a smaller cloud of incandescence could settle over my dining room table?!?
{Thank you Apartment Therapy for featuring this drool-worthy art installation. Image from Galerie Nordenhake.}

Knobby knees and numerical creatures...
The moment I set eyes upon this set of knobby knees {at Unruly Things}, I felt my own knees get weak. This print of Stanley, Baby Giraffe No. 3, is perfection - adorable and sweet perfection by Sharon Montrose.
A few more shutters of Sharon Montrose's perfection {and more Stanley, too}.

Jayson's charm...
Elle Decor & Lonny have been seducing me with glossy advertisements from Jayson Home & Garden. I finally submitted to searching the Jayson Home & Garden website; love at first sight! Here are a few details I couldn't help but share.
The Vintage French Chair with antique Belgian grain sack upholstery is to die for.
This giclee print of a vintage London Bus Sign is stunning.
Rustic and elegant, the Snow Antler Pillow adds an element of impulse to any space.
Revitalized salvaged warehouse light bulbs serve as Factory Light Sculptures, genius.

Two tea parties later...
Lately tea towels have been prying their way into my blog. I have never noticed a specific affinity for these lovely linens, and yet, here they are again. Perhaps not having a dishwasher is spurring me to search for a little glamour in doing the dishes? The latest tea towel fascinations are from Ferm Living, an engaging Danish delight {thank you, decor8, for the introduction}.
Birdcage Tea Towel, Velo Tea Towel, and Lovebirds Tea Towel are three wonders of organic cotton that would be lovely {functional} kitchen embellishments.
While exploring Ferm Living, I found a beautiful collection of scientific glassware, with all the charm and intrigue of chemistry glass.
And a Stem Vase {large or small} to add a little whimsy to your space.
Possibly the most alluring category of all, Wallstickers {literally stickers for your walls, windows, or the smooth surface of your choice}. Enjoy these sticky treats: Periodic System, Light Bulb, World Map, Lovebirds, and Powerbirds.
If your household is graced with tiny humans {children}, you will adore Ferm Living's Kids Collection.

Derian delights...
John Derian Company has 'click upon click' of beauty {just imagine the store in person}. Here is 'just a taste' of their products. Are you drooling yet?
A delight that warrants a closer glimpse, the Lobster Tray {from the Decoupage Collection}.

Oh, and I adore this Italian Letter Script Wrapping Paper. When the wrapping is this perfect, does there even need to be a gift inside?

Porcelain and platinum...
Italian architect and designer Paola Navone has my attention and affection. Her products are simply exquisite.
Miss Navone has a lovely tea collection available through The Conran Shop. Her Silver Shiny New Baroque Coffee Cup and Saucer and Milk Jug are delights in porcelain and platinum.

If Paola hasn't won you over just yet, she is about to. Her new collection, Taste {for Reichenbach}, is one of the loveliest gatherings of design and porcelain in existence. This collection is beyond perfection. My eyes will never tire of these graphic lines in crisp white; these pieces will adorn my walls one day.
My gratitude to Love. Obsess. Inspire. for introducing me to this collection (what a serendipitous search find for Paola Navone).

Shine indeed...
House Beautiful just introduced me to Shine by Susan Hornbeak Ortiz. Shine is a collection of bold, bright, and graphic furnishings, accessories, and artwork.
This Marbella Buffet layers lacquer and resin for a piece that is simultaneously simple and lavish. While the turquoise is lovely, my heart longs for Gray or Chartreuse.
Shine has an inspiring collection of artwork, including two avian pieces to give flight to your space. Peepsie {top} and Cockatoo {bottom}.
Rope, indicative of coastal, nautical brilliance would complete an ocean inspired interior; artwork that is both subtle and bold - the ideal pop from a sea of blue walls.
"I have always been drawn to capture the essence of beauty in all its forms." {Susan Hornbeak Ortiz}
